Vernon’s Story
Early Life & Upbringing

Raised in Mississippi, Vernon grew up surrounded by old-school values—respect, gratitude, courtesy, hard work, and strong family traditions—which shaped his character, influenced his choices, and continued guiding him throughout his entire life.

Military Service & Professional Experience

Military service strengthened his values of discipline, responsibility, and dignity. His professional work later allowed him to mentor youth and support families with practical guidance.

Journey Into Writing & Teaching Manners

Seeing that families needed simple, real-life guidance, Vernon began creating tools to help adults teach manners confidently. His personal passion for character-building soon grew into a meaningful mission.

Why It Matters

Every step of Vernon’s journey—his childhood, his service, and his work—deepened his belief that kids thrive when they’re taught good character early. MannersMatterNow is how he passes those values forward to the next generation.
